Summary:

As the episode opens the League rushes to Atlantis to warn Aquaman of the Atlantean traitor, but arrive too late. The League falls captive to the Atlantean army, and Orm decides to execute them. Just before they are about to drown, Mera, Aquaman's wife, saves them. In return for rescuing them, they agree to help Mera find Aquaman.

Meanwhile, Orm imprisons Aquaman and his son over molten lava. In order to save his son, Aquaman is forced to cut off his own hand. He returns to his home to give his son to Mera, before he and the League travel to the artic to prevent Orm from melting the polar ice caps.

When the final battle between Aquaman and Orm finishes, Aquaman lets Orm plummet to his death. Green Lantern and Batman are able to stop Orm's doomsday device from melting the polar ice caps. In the end, Aquaman understands that the surface dwellers weren't threatening Atlantis at all, and realizes that he must lookout for real threats to the safety of Atlantis.
